This is a pub which has a good cellar not just a 'shed out the back' and you can taste it in the beer.

How to get there map From the junction of A130 and A131 at Little Waltham, go 300yds quarter of a mile West then first left (ie SW). Very twisty lane.

Not too far from Chelmsford or Witham for cyclists
